Now they aren’t as popular in the United States. But facial bleaches are really big in some Asian & European countries. They use them to lighten the skin, because outside of the United States, surprise, paler skin is a good thing, because they denote a certain higher class. But in the United States, facial bleaches are more often used for other purposes. For example, they are used to lighten facial scars and otherwise discoloration. We think for some reason that if we bleach them out, they will slowly come to match the rest of our skin. But even though I wouldn’t recommend it, because quite frankly it causes quite a bit of skin damage, the fact is that maybe others have the right idea in terms of bleaching. If you are going to bleach, do the whole surface of the skin. Sure you can get rid of age spots and scarring if you use it in spots. But those spots may well bleach out to lighter colors than the rest of the skin, ultimately leaving you with the same exact problem as before. So it’s definitely something to consider, something to look into, and otherwise. I mean do you really want to bleach your skin, and will it really give you the help you actually think you need.
