Pineapple beauty treatments have been used in some salons and some homes alike to treat skin problems and get rid of various problems such as acne, dullness, dry skin, etc. Granted, you can always eat pineapple, but it doesn’t work quite the same way as when you just apply it in the right m ask. Essentially speaking, pineapple is high in a nutrient called bromelain. Bromelain is an enzyme meant to help you to get rid of dead skin cells, dirt, and oils, which can then beautify and rejuvenate the skin in general. However, you should make sure that you are moisturizing after as in some cases the one problem with bromelain is that it can dry skin. However, after a pineapple treatment, your skin will be more ready to take it and properly utilize it in general. It is also high in powerful antioxidants, which naturally kill off bacteria and free radicals that may be plaguing and hurting your skin as a whole. This can be used to treat bruising and swelling as well, and in general terms, pineapple is well capable of showing you greater skin benefits that you need, especially combined with the right additional ingredients in general.

Using Hydrogen Peroxide - September 7th, 2009
I generally use hydrogen peroxide on cuts and scrapes, and as an alcohol, antibacterial, and antiseptic, it helps to kill off the bacteria that may well be hurting my skin and give me the generalized effects I am looking for. This is why obviously it works so effectively as a way to clean cuts and wounds and prevent future infections. But with how easily acne can turn into a cut or wound and attract infection, in fact acne is in part made up of infections, obviously you want to get rid of this. It can get rid of discoloration, bacteria, excess oils, etc. The thing to keep in mind however is that this alcohol can easily dry out the skin. It is easily able to actually damage and break down the skin cells, and though it’s an easy way to get rid of bacteria that can be found anywhere, it isn’t always worth finding. Sometimes it’s worth it to find something that’s gentler and yet still effective in so many ways. It should always be remembered that it is still an alcohol and it will still therefore cause certain things that you may not actually want in your skincare regimen.
Types Of Scarring - September 7th, 2009
There are a few different types of scars, some of which are common and some of which I’ve never heard of. For example, there are ice pick scars that basically are long with jagged edges, and they are highly visible. Boxcar scars often look like dots that are common to chickenpox. However, of course they do not come from chickenpox. Rolling scars have a rolling hillside appearance, and they tend to stick out significantly. All of these particular scars can be quite disfiguring for many, especially when they are prevalent or group together in so many ways. They are hard to treat, sometimes hard to prevent, especially if you have acne conglobata for example, and they tend to come with certain problems in otherwise undesirable ways. Now generally speaking, people either use microdermabrasion or they have them cut out, which can cause further scarring of different types. But before you go to those extremes, I would actually suggest using a good wrinkle or scar cream. These will turn over the cells and in general terms help you to heal your skin and reduce the major signs of scars, sometimes even completely eliminating them. You just have to essentially speaking know what you are doing.
Honey Masks - September 5th, 2009
Honey has been among the most popular of acne treatments in general in some ways. It has been used to clear up excess cases of acne while brightening and improving the skin in general. You have to use raw honey of course, which can be harder to find than you might think. However, you can find it through local markets quite easily in some cases without chemicals, additives, or preservatives for that matter. These would potentially cause skin reactions in general, which are definitely not good if you want to improve the skin at large. It works as a powerful antibacterial, and frankly you don’t need all the things added to many of those bears you find in the grocery store, because honey is the one food that will never rot or go bad. That being said, if you mix it in with one egg white, you can make it an easier consistency and also give yourself the tightening effects of egg whites among other things, all in one mask for greater benefits than you could find with many other more expensive treatments, and of course you have the convenience of making this one in your own home. So that is just one more reason to choose this effective method of action.
Is There An Acne Cure? - September 4th, 2009
Acne vulgaris is the most common type of acne. It is characterized by different things for different people. There are subcategories that require greater care, scar more easily, and otherwise cause greater problems, and of course there are greater severities in some individuals than others. It can be aggravated by multiple systems, however nobody has actually determined a true cause at this point. They say that hormones are the biggest factor so far. However, stress, toxins, diet, and dirtiness of the face and skin have all been blamed to some greater degree. There have also of course been cases where people manipulate hormones using steroids or manipulate the body using drugs and amphetamines, and in those cases obviously it creates more stress, more sweat, greater hormone imbalances, and otherwise. For the most part, it’s apparently testosterone that aggravates it to a greater degree. But unfortunately, not knowing the true cause of acne, there is no cure at this time. There is only waiting until it stops on its own and in the meantime addressing the reasons we know about to try to keep it at bay. So if you hear about an “acne cure”, then brush it aside. There is no such thing.
Basil In Traditions & Science - September 3rd, 2009
It was said in Krishna traditions that they often used basil in their celebrations. They wore garlands around their necks made purely of basil, and it was meant to increase faith and detachment from the unnecessary or inconsequential elements of life in general. Likewise, in Ayurvedic medicine, basil has been used to effectively relieve stomach, kidney, and blood problems in general. However, in terms of modern science, basil has been used as an antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal, and antispasmodic at the same time. It stimulates the immune system, kills off bacteria that may be harming the skin, and otherwise nourishes the skin. Basil has been known for all its properties, and when mixed into a mask, a scrub, a wash, really anything, it can provide all these benefits. Generally, it is used only in at home treatments, and frankly that makes it easier anyway to some degree. So you can make your own treatments at home and make your choices in general about how you are going to treat your skin and how you are going to take care of it properly. That being said, it can easily be combined with other ingredients as well depending on your aim and your case of acne in general.
Combining Acne Fighting - September 2nd, 2009
Two common methods for treating acne, or rather one common method and one rather uncommonly used yet sometimes effective method, include both birth control and antibiotics. Logically speaking deducting things from that, you might assume that if you took them together, they would therefore be more effective in preventing and treating acne. So of course some have assessed the combination of these two particular types of products. There are acne specific antibiotics of course. But there haven’t been a whole lot of big studies, just small ones. But those studies that have been conducted have shown that actually, antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of birth control. Whether this means it’s affecting its ability to prevent pregnancy, to prevent acne, or both, who really knows. But the simple fact of the matter is that birth control pills naturally interfere with the body’s natural ability to use birth control properly. So unfortunately, if you use the two together, you won’t double your results or anything, you will just create a lot of frustration for yourself. And frankly, that is certainly not what you want. So instead try combining the more effective one, birth control, with a really good scrub and otherwise acne fighting regimen that may work from the outside instead.
Suffering Acne Conglobata - September 1st, 2009
It’s not too common, but a while back a cousin of mine actually started suffering from acne conglobata. We were all blown away by what it was until she went to her dermatologist who explained it. It’s apparently a severe form of acne that only sets in in adulthood. It basically is not easy to deal with, and your only real option is Accutane. Accordingly, even though the side effects were naturally quite serious, she took it and dealt with it, and to this day she is actually still dealing with the long term side effects. But all of the sudden it was like something was burrowing under her skin, and she couldn’t get rid of it. Everything else she tried just seemed to make it worse, and her skin was seriously disfigured. After, she ended up getting the scars she had developed cut out, and then she got microdermabrasion a few times to try to lessen the appearance of the scars that came from trying to cut them out. But it’s not a pretty disease, and she had to wait a few years before it actually went away. In a way, it makes you thankful for regular acne vulgaris which is never really that nasty or that bad in general.
Dry Skin Approach - September 1st, 2009
If you have dry skin, oftentimes you are battling with your skin and with your acne. Obviously with dry skin, peeling, redness, and sun sensitivity are more likely, and frankly without the right amounts of oils, actually your skin has a tendency to break out more. So you want to regulate it. First of all, start eating more fish. Fish is packed with omega 3 and other good fatty acids, and these will help to properly regulate the moisture and oils in your skin that you do need. Second, make sure that you are using a gentle cleanser. Many harsher yet more popular cleansers come with drying and irritating ingredients such as for example benzoyl peroxide. You definitely want to avoid these as your skin will naturally be more susceptible to them. And finally, use a light moisturizer. Many have the tendency to go overboard and use a thick and heavy moisturizer when their skin is dry. This will only end up clogging your pores, even if you have extremely dry skin. So instead use a light moisturizer preferably based on essential oils or for that matter water. It will help you to get the results you want, and frankly you can use a richer moisturizer at night as your pores will be more open and willing to properly respond to it while helping you to moisturize better during the day as well.
Determining Gender - August 28th, 2009
There are many ways to tell what gender the baby is going to be, the most reliable of course being an ultrasound, though of course there have been cases of mistaken identity in that regard. It is not unheard of by any means. But there are plenty of old wives tales about how to tell. There are some Chinese charts that apparently chart the age of the mother, the month of conception, etc, and they are apparently quite accurate surprisingly enough. But then there are others who conclude that if your acne clears up(and this is assuming you have acne) during your pregnancy, then it must be a boy. My cousin who suffered through acne all pregnancy long had girls, but that’s beside the point. Apparently, the heartbeat surrounding 140 also determines the sex. A heartbeat above is a boy and below is a girl. None of these have been proven by any means. It’s all chance in general terms, especially with the whole acne thing. I’ve actually only had one friend or family member really break out with acne during their pregnancy in general. so the best way to go is just to get the ultrasound and determine it at that point.
